Our client is a global leader specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative products and solutions. As part of their continued growth plans for the region, they are seeking a Regional Finance Manager, APAC.
Reporting to the APAC Controller, you will lead a team of 3 - 4 staff and be responsible for overseeing the GL function. You will lead the team in ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial close, reconciliations, variance analysis, etc. In addition, you will partner closely with both Supply Chain and R&D Operations in ensuring accurate accounting treatment is applied for the business in areas such as project costs, inventory costs and inventory obsolescence provision. You will also liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with the company's accounting policies and practices.
This is a highly visible role within the organization and will have the additional responsibility as the Process Improvement Champion. You will take the lead in driving all process improvement projects within the team relating to accounting policies, processes, procedures and workflow.
To be a successful candidate, you must be a Chartered Accountant with 8 - 10 years of experience. You should also be familiar with the accounting treatment for project costs and inventory. Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS will be a must. Prior experience in external audit and proven managerial exposure will be essential. Knowledge of USGAAP/SOX and SAP FI/CO will be highly preferred.
