Our client is an European MNC in the manufacturing industry. They are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to assist them with their day to day accounting function for a period of 9 months due to a project that they are working on. This incumbent will be Australia books.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be tasked with full sets of accounts function for 3 countries - Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia. This will include AP, AR and GL duties. You will be required to ensure the accounting entries are booked correctly, prepare balance sheet schedules, review the reconciliations, ensure accounting is in compliance with the accounting standards. You will have to work very closely with the Shared Service Centre. You will also liaise with auditors and participate in streamlining of current policies and procedures.
You should have a degree/diploma in finance and accounting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant capacity. Prior experience handling accounts for Australia will be advantageous. You should have strong communications skills and can work independently. Immediately available candidates or candidate with short notice will be preferred.
