This is a unique opportunity to be part of a US listed MNC within the healthcare and life sciences industry with impressive growth across established and emerging markets. We are currently actively recruiting for a Business Controller, APAC to lead and establish controls supporting Operations function across APAC.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director (based in US) and working closely with the Senior Supply Chain Director, APAC, this is a key position to provide leadership and financial oversight, governance and counsel globally. As a key APAC finance business partner, you will be working with the business to develop a long-term strategy for L&D and be responsible for the financial reporting of the APAC monthly actuals, forecasting and budgeting as well as the inventory for the APAC L&D group. Provide finance oversight on all 3rd-party agreements or services that are in place and to ensure terms are complied with and services are audited on a regular basis. Ensure that the APAC distribution centers are compliant with all controls as well as overseeing the monthly inventory reporting process. Manage the finance process and root cause assessment of excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring provisions are booked in a timely fashion and are compliant with the corporate policy. Manage and co-ordinate the APAC finance elements of the standard cost roll related to the distribution centers and work with commercial finance to reconcile the inventory revaluation impact. Champion continuous improvement strategy through achieving improvements in Finance business processes and supporting the L&D continuous improvement strategy
Your Profile
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and ideally a CIMA, Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 years of relevant work experience across large commercial firms. It is essential to have a proven track record in business partnering, supply chain finance, good understanding of distribution business and experience in a standard costing manufacturing model.

Your Profile

We are looking for a functional expert in operational finance with a passion for excellence and a strong knowledge of LEAN practices. Prior experience in SAP or other ERP system will be advantageous. Personality wise, we are seeking an innovative and forward-looking Controller with excellent interpersonal skills. There will be up to 20% travelling within APAC.
