With global presence in strategic locations and extensive network in the market, this is a dominant player within the maritime industry. There is now a fantastic opportunity to join them as a Cost Controller.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and managing a team, you are responsible for all voyage expense accounts and its related financial data. You will monitor, evaluate and analyze principal expenses with the aim of reducing costs and achieve savings, ensure accuracy in principal cost estimation and timely submission of provisional principal expenses. Ensure timely and accurate daily posting of operational vendor expenses. Verify principal costs debited against the provisional expenses reported and justify for the variances. Ensure timely and accurate vessel disbursements account submission to regional office. Analyze related principal incomes and ensure maximize billings, collections and margins. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive improvements and resolutions in end-to-end Cost Control processes. Ensure internal control accounting policies and processes are adhered to and in compliance with Company policies and SFRS/IFRS. Other key areas include driving system standardization and improvement, identify and initiate improvement areas and develop good accounting control procedures and best practices to enhance overall accounting operations, work quality and efficiency.
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with minimum 6 years of relevant experience within shipping or logistics industry. It is essential to possess good knowledge of SFRS, IFRS and experienced in using SAP. We are looking for a strategic, proactive, innovative, organized and meticulous finance processional with excellent leadership skills.
